JCPC invited Dr. Karsten Neuhoff and Ms. Misato Sato from Cambridge University in order to hear about the present situation of EU global warming prevention policy, background history of the policy and the report on
'EU Emissions Trading Scheme: Experiences and Outlook'.
The symposium was to inform general public on present situation of EU- ETS.
The investigation commission was for specialists to discuss further.

JCPC invited Dr. R.Andreas Kraemer from Germany

to hear the report on Post- Kyoto legal framework policy from both sides of developed and developing countries.

Discussion session with Professor J.L.Sax
JCPC organized a discussion session with Professor Sax from University of California, Berkley, to hear about the present situation on US climate change policy, concerning issues raised because of power dynamics of the federal legal system and the state law, which may be causing delay on global warming prevention action in US federal law compared to California’s state environmental law.

JCPC organized a discussion session with Professor Michael Grubb from
University of London, who's been well aknowledged on the study of EU ETS economic research, to hear about the issues on emission trading procedure

'Minnaga Shuyaku no Kankyo Symposium 2007' -Hitachi, Kankyo wo Manabo, the 9th-
Akio MORISHIMA (JCPC Chairperson) made a key note speech promoting individual awarness of global warming issue.
Environmental education is important for handing over the future of earth to the next generation. To inform the present situation of global warming and to promote the individual actions to combat it, Morishima lectured on the reasons for worsening global warming and the significance of individual action taking.

JCPC Chairperson Akio MORISHIMA lectured for middle school students in Nagoya.
Environmental awareness raising for the next generation determines future of the earth. The lecture was focused on explaining the present situation and cause of global warming and the seeking for solution in individual actions.
